This is beautiful music, which is well observed, but which also has a gossamer fineness that has to be heard to be believed.

The "World's Strongest Man" Eddie Hall comes from Stoke. People say not much else has. Their football team was relegated from the Premiership after many years this season. Even a bloke I used to know from that fair town called it "Saint Joke". It's harsh really, as there is a pride still undiscovered, as this excellent young band call it their home.

The music is gentle, attractive Psychedelia of the late sixties. It's the kind everyone is doing at the moment. Tracks like 'Rise' have lovely harmonies, but a powerful kick drum too, preventing it from becoming too woozy. 'Cinema Of Thunder' has the organic Folk and Country Rock feel of Sheepdogs; calmly gorgeous, just like the harmonising and CSNY (well, maybe not the Y) of 'When The Lights Go Out'.

This isn't just the music which is popular at the moment. This is beautiful music, which is well observed, but which also has a gossamer fineness that has to be heard to be believed.

"Stoke's Strongest Band" ? Maybe.
