For fans of flares, 'shrooms, kaftans and platforms, this is probably aural nirvana, but for me, I'll be glad not to have to listen to them again.

Concrete Jelly, Italian Prog Stoners(?) from Trieste, frankly confuse me. I genuinely cannot get a handle on who or what they think they are. The second I hit "play" a wall of sound hit me, and literally made me go "OW!", and not in a good way. I'm guessing the band have self-produced this album, as it's as subtle as a ton of bricks; a case of everything louder than everything else, methinks.

I'm struggling here; on one hand they seem to think they are Sabbath, Clutch, Cream, or Corrosion Of Conformity, then King's X, then Tull, then Kyuss, then Tool, then Zeppelin, then Cathedral, then King Crimson, then... then... then ...! The trouble is, they have no real sense of identity or direction. There is nothing new or original here. The guitars are powerful enough, and the rhythm section is obviously competent, but the second the vocalist opens his mouth it's all downhill I'm afraid.

The quartet are not without talent, but it's all so unfocussed. It's all sound and fury signifying nothing! I'm trying not to be unkind, and I fully understand that it's all about individual taste, but sadly my taste buds are left uninspired here. This is genuinely one of the hardest reviews I've had to write, as I have not a clue what to say any further.

For fans of flares, 'shrooms, kaftans and platforms, this is probably aural nirvana, but for me, I'll be glad not to have to listen to them again.
