A collection of great fun Rock tunes done with panache, élan and sheer bloody mindedness.

This has flare... The Trousers are Hungarian and glory in this easily derided moniker. Good job then that this fourth album zips along; they have developed a Hard, Classic Rock swagger over those albums and this one is the easiest to access of the lot; rough, Punky and with little waist...

This is sloppy in a glorious way, wandering around with an overflowing glass of Chivas Regal with the Rolling Stones constantly hanging around, firing off ringing riffs and leering suggestively. 'Buckley Funeral Home' is so scruffy it's flies are undone, Diamond Dogs pointing and laughing, an organ flowing into the corners, 'Hysterical Route' bumps and grinds, rolling on a Glammy strut and a Bluesy exploration of a solo, hot pants shimmering.

Zoltan Kovery has the grain-soaked growl of a Blues troubadour and Peter Locke keeps those riffs down and very dirty. And if this was all there was, that wouldn't be a problem at all; but by God, that's not all.

Some of this has a sweeping Soundtrack Of Our Lives vibe, albeit with scything guitars racing along, scraping walls and emerging into a clearing, blinking and listening carefully for a buried solo – this is 'Mother Of Illusion'. And 'Sonic Desert' has a middle which sounds like a 1960's spy theme, enjoying rough sax and a hot organ.

This is a collection of great fun Rock tunes done with panache, élan and sheer bloody mindedness. Who wouldn't want that? Growing exponentially, they are becoming better and better. The Trousers, what a turn-up!
