Has enough Pop Punk to keep any fans of the genre interested and enough sidesteps to stand out as something to keep coming back to.

If we're talking about matches made in Heaven, then Bowling For Soup's Jaret Reddick and The Dollyrots' Kelly Ogden are right up there with bacon and brown sauce. Both groups have released some of the best and most fun Pop Punk of the last twenty years or so, and as the singers are great friends and tour buddies who have sung together before, this album is a bit of a no-brainer.

Fourteen tracks await the curious and I'll be buggered if they aren't all different enough to make listening to the record an enjoyable, varied experience. It would have been easy, I suppose, to stick fourteen mid-to-fast-paced Bowling For Soup type songs together and barrel through them, but Jaret & Kelly have actually taken that formula and played with it just enough to keep familiarity, and thereby contempt, firmly at bay.

Obviously, the base of the music is happy Pop Punk as opening lead single 'Here We Go' and 'Yourself Again' both illustrate with big smiles, catchy choruses and melody to spare. Elsewhere, it can go a bit Country, as on the acoustic 'Let's Just See How It Goes' and the moving 'Daddy's Girl', with Reddick singing about his daughter and Ogden singing about her father. The thing about this album is that it's all so charming that it's really hard to resist. The tracks are well written and the duet mechanics well implemented... it's nigh on impossible to find anything negative to say, so I won't bother trying.

As a fan of both bands, I thoroughly enjoyed 'Sittin' In A Tree'. It has enough Pop Punk to keep any fans of the genre interested and enough sidesteps to stand out as something to keep coming back to. Everybody now... Kelly & Jaret, 'Sittin' In A Tree', F-U-C...
