Snakecharmer - new rock supergroup have arrived

snakecharmer01

With two brand new songs recorded and a show at Shepherd’s Bush Empire coming soon, latest supergroup SNAKECHARMER is finally ready to unleash their high quality blend of classic rock to the world.

Who are Snakecharmer? The hint is in the name…

Formed by six of the UK's most highly-esteemed and experienced rock musicians, SNAKECHARMER is a brand new project brought together by original Whitesnake members with elements of some of UK’s top rock bands of all times: ‘Snake’s original guitarist Micky Moody and bassist Neil Murray are joined by ex Wishbone Ash Laurie Wisefield on guitar, Thunder and Magnum drummer Harry James, Ozzy’s keyboardist Adam Wakeman and Chris Ousey (Heartland) on lead vocals, for a feast of twin-guitar based rock the way it’s meant to be played.

Neil Murray says It's great to play with these guys, who are all wonderful musicians, and I'm looking forward to sharing our music with you soon.”

The list of world-class acts that the members of SNAKECHARMER have collectively played with runs into literally hundreds: Eric Clapton, Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, Jeff Beck, Gary Moore, Magnum, Queen & Paul Rodgers, just to name a few. Neil Murray and Laurie Wisefield have also performed for an audience totalling over 2.5 million in the legendary Queen’ musical ‘We Will Rock You’.

While SNAKECHARMER will be playing classic rock songs that they helped create - such as Whitesnake's Here I Go Again, Fool For Your Loving, Don't Break My Heart Again, Ready An' Willing and Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City, together with other hits from the band members' back catalogue – they are indeed a genuine act bringing new original material to the table as well; new tracks Smoking Gun and Turn of the Screw will join the classics on stage as SNAKECHARMER appear as Special Guests to Uriah Heep at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 8th December. Prior to the show, on 5th December, SNAKECHARMER will be officially presented to the press.

A tribute to the classics from a non-tribute band, next to an array of original songs from a new exciting band: 2012 is up for a promising start with Snakecharmer!

SNAKECHARMER are:

Micky Moody - guitar, slide guitar, vocals

Neil Murray – bass

Laurie Wisefield - guitar, vocals

Harry James - drums, vocals

Adam Wakeman - keyboards, vocals

Chris Ousey - lead vocals
