Superb sound and catchy songs.

Samba, cahipirinias, cachaça ... and Rock´n´Roll. These are, among other wonderful things, what Brazil is all about. If you guys were not aware of this other rocking facet of this South American country, I'm going to help you discover what's really going on in the Rock scene in Brazil, as the releases coming from that country are usually pretty good stuff. Do you remember Auras, Highest Dream or Joey Summer? I bet you do. Well, let me introduce you to another Brazilian combo, Paradise Inc. A band that is well aware of the works of such hard rock legends as Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Lynch Mob, Firehouse and Skid Row. Following in their steps, they have put out a really great album.

It all begins with an intriguing ticking that's just the beginning of an extraordinary melodic rock album with a stable guitar sound by De Grigo and Marcos Peres. The German lead singer, Carsten Lizard (Evidence One etc), kind of reminds me of Jeff Ogden of UK band Burn at times, especially in the track 'Close Your Eyes'. Actually that song could have perfectly fitted onto their album 'Global Warning'. 'Who Is Foolin' Who' is a highlight on the album, the keyboard of Alessandro Del Vecchio going hand in hand and in perfect harmony with the guitars, and the vocals of Carsten is just the icing of a very delicious cake. We find more outstanding keys in the following track, 'I Will Wait', keys that guard the song along with a howling guitar, although the chorus could still go higher and so make the song more powerful. 'Wait and See' has got a harder sound, and while enjoyable has a rather plain chorus.

Overall, and after spinning it a few times, I feel I can recommend this album. The sound is superb, the songs are catchy and the guys know how to stamp their own style of intense hard rock in every song. In addition, the production is really good, and we can even see the collaboration of Scotsman Doogie White, and hear his vocals on the track 'Not In Paradise' - a brilliant song. Finally, an acoustic version of 'Steel Or Stone' ends the album in my copy, as the European bonus track.

Paradise Inc presents Time. Are you ready for your cahipirinia yet?
