VEGA get ready to unleash 'What The Hell' in March

VEGA-WTH-thumb

UK rockers Vega have confirmed a March 11th release for their second studio album, ‘What The Hell!’; this will be the band’s first release for Spinefarm Records/Ninetone, and is the follow-up to their 2010 outing, ‘Kiss Of Life’.

Produced by Vega & co-produced & mixed by John Greatwood (Entombed, Corroded, etc.), the new album features 14 tracks and, according to frontman Nick Workman, each one of them was given a thorough work-out prior to inclusion…

“The thing is, we wanted to write an album where every song could be considered as a single. We pretty much demoed each one twice before we were satisfied, and we were fortunate enough to have Joe Elliott cast his ear over some of the demos – his comments were a massive influence on our individual performances…”

“Also,” continues drummer Dan Chantrey, “we decided to record through the night, as we felt that the atmosphere was more in keeping with the tone of the songs. We would start the session with a huge caffeine injection and then push on until we fell asleep behind the drums, the mic, guitars or whatever…”

Track-listing for ‘What The Hell!’
1. AUDEAT SOMNIARE
2. WHITE KNUCKLE RIDE
3. WHAT THE HELL!
4. NOT THERE FOR YOU
5. CRY
6. RAISE YA GAME
7. FADE IN TO THE FLAMES
8. YOU CAN’T RUN
9. BLESS MY SOUL
10. SHE WALKS ALONE
11. TURN IT ON
12. SAVIOUR
13. TELL ME ITS GONNA BE ALRIGHT
14. HANDS IN THE AIR

First single, ‘White Knuckle Ride’ is available now on iTunes.

ON THE live front, Vega will be opening for British AOR legends, FM, on their UK tour in March…

Mar 15 Pontypridd Muni Arts Centre
Mar 16 Wolverhampton Slade Rooms
Mar 17 Glasgow King Tut’s
Mar 18 Bingley Arts Centre
Mar 20 Newcastle O2 Academy2
Mar 21 Manchester Academy 2
Mar 22 Nuneaton Queen’s Hall
Mar 23 London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire

“This is a dream start to 2013 for Vega,” comments Nick. “FM are a band we have always had huge respect for, and Steve Overlandhas one of the best voices in rock. Vega will make sure that the audiences are well warmed-up before FM hit the stage! Roll on March!”

Vega will also be appearing at the inaugural Hard Rock Hell AOR festival in Rotherham; the event takes place on April 6th/7th.
