The Red Rocker, Sammy Hagar scored the 11th Billboard Top 25 album of his career this week when his new album Sammy Hagar & Friends debuted at #23 on the US Billboard 200. The album marks the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s highest charting solo album in 18 years, since 1997’s Marching To Mars. The album also scored the #7 Rock Album and #5 Independent Album release for Frontiers Records this week.

Sammy Hagar & Friends is Hagar’s first ever collaborations album, featuring many of his legendary friends and band mates past and present including Kid Rock, Toby Keith, Ronnie Dunn, Joe Satriani, Nancy Wilson, Neal Schon, Mickey Hart, Michael Anthony, Chad Smith, Taj Mahal, Bill Church, Denny Carmassi, The Wabos and more. In the 40 years since his debut album Montrose was released, Hagar’s charted 25 albums in Billboard's Top 200 and amassed 25 Platinum albums as a solo artist and member of seminal bands including Montrose, Van Halen and, most recently, the supergroup Chickenfoot.

The album also landed at the 48th place of the Canadian Top 200 Album charts and sales results in the European countries are expected for next week.

“Servicing such an Artist as Sammy Hagar is not only an honor, but a true pleasure,” said Serafino Perugino, of President Frontiers Records. “The team work we put together in this album was rewarded by the fans, which can enjoy a true musical celebration from one of the real Rock giants, enjoy!”

For Hagar, the party’s just starting… Next week, he’s heading to Cabo to celebrate his 66th birthday during his annual Cabo Wabo Birthday Bash taking place October 7-13 at his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Following Cabo, Sammy's heading back on tour - bringing his critically-heralded "Four Decades of Rock" tour to Shawnee, OK on 10/19; Red Bank, New Jersey on 10/22; Port Chester, NY on 10/23 and Bethlehem, PA on 10/26. Fans not in Cabo will have reason to celebrate on October 27 when AXS TV airs Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Birthday Bash TV special. Sammy will wrap the east coast leg of his tour with a visit to The Howard Stern Show at Sirius XM on 10/28.
