Blends their love of classic Hard Rock, 1970's (British) Glam, Pop Punk and Alternative and fuses it into something altogether unique.

When assigning an aural definition to Hard Rock in its most distilled form, AC/DC's music would be the prudent choice. Their songs are both memorable and timeless, basking in the glory of simplicity. Additionally, few others have been able to replicate that style while boasting similar consistency, longevity and success.

In 2014, Danish Rockers Razzmattazz did an exceptional job harnessing that same esthetic with their brilliant album, 'Rock 'N' Roll Hero'. Not more than a year later, a band going by the name of Biters continue this trend with their inaugural long player, 'Electric Blood'.

Biters' music is naked and its connection to the listener is immediate. Although from the U.S.A., lead singer Tuk has a voice very reminiscent of Irishman Ricky Warwick (Black Star Riders) that contributes to the band's overall "classic" sound.
'...Blood' blends their love of classic Hard Rock, 1970's (British) Glam, Pop Punk and Alternative and fuses it into something altogether unique. Complete with simple song structures, catchy hooks and a vibe that speaks of having a good time, Biters is capable of inspiring any audience to "smash your fist into the air..." ('Restless Hearts')

They even reveal an affinity of 1980's Hard Rock (think Faster Pussycat or Coney Hatch) with 'Low Lives In Hi Definition'. The production is as straightforward as the music and suits the band's performances perfectly. Effects and overdubs are kept to a bare minimum giving the album a really authentic, live feeling. Although the opener, '... Hearts' will be the first single released but in truth, any one of the remaining nine tracks on offer could have easily been given that honor.

Biters certainly have a challenge on their hands when it comes time to writing and recording a follow-up, but based on the quality and consistency of 'Electric Blood', I have full confidence in their ability to deliver another winner.
