This album is cause for celebration for Powerwolf fans everywhere.

We finally have it, a new record from Powerwolf; it is what we have all been waiting patiently for! After 'Preachers Of The Night' many had wondered if Powerwolf could top that album given it is now known and recognised to be their finest so far. Well the answer is finally here and it has been long but exciting wait for many dedicated fans.

With a robust touring schedule already in place, I have a feeling 'Blessed And Possessed' will leave you desperate to watch them live. They have teased their fans with regularly video clips, but now it has arrived and let's just say it has definitely been worth the wait and all the anticipation.

Everything you want is here to be found on '...Possessed'; the almighty Attila Dorn captivating Operatic vocals, the ridiculously prevailing hooks and ludicrously fast driving force from Roel Van Helden. It reeks of the scent that we know and love.

'Army Of The Night' is the explosive, pure, authentic Power Metal package, be prepared to blown to the floor in full force. The synthesizers create such a full and bold sound, it's just bursting full of excellent musicianship. If there is ever a band to knock you flat, even if it is just for a second or two, it is Powerwolf.

You wouldn't think this album could get any better till you hear 'We Are The Wild'. It is just over flowing with catchy verses and choruses; it's so highly infectious that you better be prepared to catch the "Powerwolf fever". There is a real live experience when listening to this album in general, but that is especially true of this track.

'Higher Than Heaven' just carries the high spirit onwards whereas 'Sacramental Sister' is joyfully dark, dramatic and glorious with a solo that is intensely satisfying. The album closes with 'Let There Be Light' where Dorn's vocals are again hypnotic during a track that will entrance you.

They are such a tight and talented band that even listening to fully produced album such as this, it takes you to the live action; you can literally hear the crowds screaming and feel the crowds sweat, blood and tears; be prepared to enjoy!
The themes, production, sound and texture all follow on from 'Preachers...'. They have found something extraordinary and they are just progressing with it, it definitely needs a "fuck yeah"!

You will find with 'Blessed And Possessed' that you are involved from start to finish; at the end there is the overwhelming tiredness but the feeling of musical nourishment. This album is cause for celebration for Powerwolf fans everywhere!
