A magnetic vortex that absorbs every aspect of your mind; it's entrancing and compelling, a truly great piece of music.

Cobras And Fire: The Mastermind Redux' is an alternate version of the 'Mastermind' album that was released back in 2010, '...Fire' provides you with a whole new listening experience. It has progressed and shifted to fuse variation of different musical themes with a focus on the Grunge/Psychedelic genres. If you like MM back in their Stoner Rock era, then you will very much like the change from the Classic Rock sound that 'Mastermind' previously had.

'She Digs That Hole' is heavily guitar focused, there are layers upon layers of typical Grunge rhythm guitar accompanied by their signature Classic Rock lead sound. It's not until the chorus kicks in that really brings the excitement to hearing the rest of this track; the lead guitar is deeply indulgent and "tasty" – well worth the wait. 'Watch Me Fade' draws on 1970's style keys; it provides a real succulent vintage sound, slightly akin to The Doors production, which is undeniably good and fitting to 1990's Monster Magnet.

'Mastermind '69' features bass work that is profoundly constructed in the composition, guitar takes a step back and the bass has awoken, it's meaty and satisfyingly good, like any impressive guitar solo it provides you with the exact same feeling but this feeling stays for an impressive six and a half minutes of the track.

'Cobras And Fire (Hallucination Bomb)' does exactly what it says on the tin, haunting and hypnotic, it is impeccable and effortless. And 'The Titan' is all but a movie soundtrack composition that you would be a perfect fit on any psycho/thriller dark piece, maybe as dark as a Darren Aronofsky surreal film.

They have taken something that initially was good and made it is something exquisite. The attention to detail has really set the mark, even just by adding something as simple as maracas and classic piano, there's depth and dynamics. 'Cobras And Fire' is a magnetic vortex that absorbs every aspect of your mind; it's entrancing and compelling, a truly great piece of music.
