This is an album that really won't disappoint and one that is worthy of any collection.

Last Autumn's Dream are a band I have loved for years, one I considered underrated and in dire need of much more awareness than they have received because album after album they have produced the goods.

Now comes my dilemma; I am not a fan of covers and with 'In Disguise' LAD have come up with an album full of them. Basically, we have a collection of tracks which the band consider have influenced them or that they grew up with and admired. With this in mind it pains me say I love this album. This is not your normal collection of "classics", it's a carefully crafted musical masterpiece which sounds like it's come from my personal album collection from back in the day.

Opening with one of my all-time favourite songs in 'If Love Should Go' (Streets), I can honestly say LAD have really done justice to the original. Yes, they have added their own touch, but they have remained faithful to the composition and I am pretty sure Steve Walsh/Mike Slamer would approve. From here on, the selection of songs gets somewhat eclectic and interesting.

Fireworks - The Ultimate Magazine For Melodic Rock Music

Songs from Steve Miller, Triumph, Angel, Sweet and Headpins, for example, are all excellently executed and brought to life in a modern production way. Of course, no Swedish "music that inspired me" compilation would be complete without an ABBA song and Last Autumn's Dream don't miss out in this way. However, once again, having avoided all the obvious choices, they have picked 'When I Kissed The Teacher'. It's pure class in choice and delivery.

This is an album that really won't disappoint and one that is worthy of any collection.
