An album that continually makes the listener think and gives way to new surprises upon each listen.

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Royal Thunder are a four-piece Hard Rocking group with Progressive leanings. They are about to release their third record, 'Wick', as well as celebrating a new relationship with Spinefarm.

RT began life in 2004 and like many, journeyed through the years with membership changes while, at the same time, developing their own sound. 2017 sees a solid line-up in female vocalist Mlny Parsonz and founder Josh Weaver on guitar who are joined by the very capable, creative drummer Evan Diprima and second guitarist Will Fiore. Since 2015, the group has embarked upon a new era of musical exploration to expand their musical horizons. They have an intense work ethic and are one unstoppable unit!

Ever since their inception, they have recorded and worked the road extensively. Despite the line-up changes, both Parsonz and Weaver never lost faith or energy. For the last eighteen months or so, the group has toured heavily around the world, with aims in both the European territory as well as their native North American continent. Through all of this, the band kept polishing their sound and becoming more confident of their writing skills. As they continued to gather acclaim for their live performances, RT became known for their distinctive sound, one that is influenced by Hard Rock and Southern Rock flavours. They also have a taste for some Psychedelic soundscapes as well! An exciting band to listen to and see live, RT have delivered!

'Wick' is twelve very powerful musical journeys with each of these offerings stimulating the senses and the whole album registers just under the level of genius. There is so much music contained within, one has to remind themselves that there are just four people creating this! Some press releases have compared the group to Led Zeppelin; I was doubtful about this, until I had completed my first full listen to 'Wick'. I too hear this vibe, as these four delve deep in to each and every musical expression, stretching and expanding each groove to the limits. Although each composition is complete and can stand on its own, listening to them all together, as presented on this new release, they create sonic brilliance! A full album that continually makes the listener think and gives way to new surprises upon each listen.

I can see that with 'Wick', Royal Thunder should see their international profile rise rapidly and rightfully so!
