We need great new bands like Inglorious to keep Classic Rock and all we love about it alive.

Inglorious have a special ingredient that makes them rise above the pack; that element is singer Nathan James and the former Uli John Roth and Trans-Siberian Orchestra man is at the forefront of this record. Cut from the same mould as classic British Rock singers, with hints of Paul Rogers, Ian Gillian and Glenn Hughes, his voice combines pure brute Rock force with soul that drips sweet honey. He famously went onto TV's 'The Voice' only for none of the judges to turn around, to his and most Rock fans' bemusement. Thank goodness for us they didn't spin the red chairs because his talent would have been wasted on the show singing karaoke Pop songs in an attempt for fame.

The band have been keen to point out their organic, old-school way of recording, all in a room, playing as a band rather than piecing it together on laptops. This serves the music and James' voice well, essentially capturing their raw live sound and letting the music breathe. They've done a good job of self-producing, with Kevin Shirley overseeing the mixing process. Shirley has suggested they are the most exciting band since Led Zeppelin, although such hysterical promotion isn't helpful because, for me, they don't have the range or invention of Zeppelin. However, what they are is a terrific Bluesy Hard Rock band steeped in Classic Rock.

Their growing confidence is palpable on this second album. First single 'I Don't Need Your Loving' is a terrific slow burner, while 'Taking The Blame', with its revving intensity, is somewhere between Deep Purple and Rainbow. 'Tell Me Why' has the assurance of Bad Company, 'No Good For You' the thrust of Whitesnake and 'High Class Woman' is the kind of dumb but glorious song that Kiss would have swapped their dayglow clothes for during the band's no make-up days.

Everything on the disc bristles with pheromones and the sound of young men Rocking out. As the list of Classic Rockers no longer with us continues to grow, we need great new bands like Inglorious to keep Classic Rock and all we love about it alive.
