You'll be nodding your head, clapping your hands and dancing uncontrollably at their penchant for cliché-riddled Radio Rock.

In a world where guitar Rock in the charts is beginning to be as common as rain in July, it's becoming marginally more difficult to dissect the dinosaur-sized selection of riff-centric fuzz-fiddling Pop Rock that's exploding through eardrums on a regular basis. However, somewhat ironically, it is a lot easier these days to distinguish the best from the rest, the Artic Monkeys of the world from the forgettable Fun's of the world.

Mississippian's The Weeks – with their third full-length release 'Easy' – slot themselves self-assuredly as prisoners of the latter category, adding nothing new to the sugar-coated "if we tell ourselves we're Rock and not Pop enough times, we'll believe it" trend that is spilling out of the already over-bloated guitar-led Pop Rock fuzz that is blurring the line between rollicking riffage and rumbling, tumbling, mumbling bouts of nothing much.

It's clear from the album opener, 'Talk Like That', that their association with Kings Of Leon's Serpent & Snakes label is one of musical taste between the two as vocalist Cyle Bones comes off as a tribute act, crooning through eleven tracks of what can only be described as easy-listening editions of the one KOL album nobody truly liked, you know, that 'Mechanical Bull' one. Jangly guitars and plucky bass lines jingle all the way, from the groovy waves of the trumpt-tinged 'Ike' to the radio-friendly 'Start It Up', 'Easy' is a record of the same song done differently eleven times over, straying from the formula only when they stop playing songs. In fact, it gets so tedious that by the time you get to the sixth song, 'Gold Don't Rust', you likely to answer the song's chorus – "Well if everyone's okay, we'd like to play one more" – with the possibly (un)polite answer of "no thank you".

At the end of the day, 'Easy' is an album that is a complete contradiction. It's funky, it's jangly, and it's undeniably catchy, with mid-noughties Indie ringing through like alarm bells, half-baked harmonies and songs about hot girls you'll never quite get. However, in the end... shamefully... it's a record you'll find yourself replaying over and over, because whilst you'll be bashing your head against the wall in honour of its painful repetitiveness, in between it all you'll be nodding your head, clapping your hands and dancing uncontrollably at their penchant for cliché-riddled Radio Rock.
