Titan - 'Steps'

A Rocktopia user review by Speedy Hicks.

This release is for fans of all things 80s. “Steps” is rich in hooks and shows much maturity in a band with an average age of just 18. Starting off in fine style with the tasty “Hero” which boasts a fine chorus and some great vocals,. Listening to this album reminds me of “Little Angels” from their 1989 debut “Don’t Prey for Me” and you can see where I am coming from on.

“I Want You” which is eerily like Toby Jepson. Sweden has taken the bull by the horns in recent years with so many bands releasing such good rock albums and “Titan” continues this trend but also have the balls to stamp their own style on proceedings and shake it up a bit on the title track with some modern sounding touches to the production. My only fault with this release is that it only contains 6 songs as it’s a stop gap release before we get the official full album sometime in the near future.
